“I Am My Sister’s Keeper Ministry”

Mission: Finding areas of need in our church and community, and in a collaborative effort, service and through teaching, preaching and other community resources, effectively meeting the needs of those we serve.

Vision: To grow a women’s ministry that reaches out directly to other women in and around our church and community who are facing severe hardships of every kind and serving those who are at risk and in crisis. In collaboration with these community members finding the commonalities that tie into the concept and belief that I am my sister’s keeper and that our survival rests upon love and empowerment of one another. Building relationships that will bring women together and families back to church as we take the church to the community. Creating an ongoing domino effect of generational women self-empowerment, self- improvement, and discipleship.

I Am My Sister’s Keeper kick off breakfast was a great success! THANKS TO MY SISTERS who came out to see what the Ministry is all about. Thanks to those who thought about us and couldn’t make it, we know you were praying for us! Although my heart is heavy right now, you made the load easier to bare! “So are Christians to be the keepers of other Christians? Yes, in two ways. First, we are not to commit acts of violence against one another. This includes violence of the tongue in the form of gossip and “quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, factions, slander, gossip, arrogance and disorder” (1 Corinthians 12:20). Second, we are to exhibit brotherly love toward our brothers and sisters in Christ with a tender heart and a humble mind (1 Peter 3:8). In this way, we “keep” those for whom Christ gave His life.”
